Music labels, supported by infamous copyright litigant, Rightscorp, is suing Charter Communications. After winning a large judgment against Cox Communications, it is proceeding onwards.
At the core of the case is the question whether internet providers can be held contributorily liable for their users. Here, the plaintiffs are asserting that offering higher speeds and not kicking infringers off the network demonstrate Charter knows and is profiting from infringement.
